Jarrah RZ F1 is a high-yielding, semi-determinate, hybrid plum tomato seed variety from Rijk Zwaan. Bred with the fresh market in mind, its high brix level also makes it suitable for processing. It is ideal for open-field and general outdoor cultivation. Being semi-determinate means harvests for an extended period which lead to higher yields.
This hybrid plum tomato seed variety is the best tomato variety to grow during the dry season in Nigeria due to its tolerance to drought and heat. It has, however, also demonstrated particularly good performance during the rainy season.
Jarrah RZ is highly adaptable to Nigerian tropical climate conditions. The fruits are firm, with a uniform red color, excellent shelf life, and sweet taste. They are elongated plum in shape and are 90-100grams in average fruit weight.
